1. This permit is accepted subject to the conditions set herein.
2. The permittee shall return the Cabin Condition Report within
(5) days after the use of the cabin.
3. The permittee shall maintain the improvements and premises
to standards of orderliness, neatness, sanitation and safety
as stated in the Rules for Occupancy posted in cabins or as may
be declared by the resident Park Ranger
4. The permittee, in exercising the privileges granted by this
permit, shall comply with the regulations of the Department of
the Interior and all Federal, State, County and Municipal laws,
ordinances or regulations which are applicable to the area or
operations covered by this permit.
5. The Permittee shall exercise diligence in protecting from damage
the land property of the United States or Garnet Preservation
Association (GPA) covered by and used in connection with this permit,
and shall pay the United States or GPA for any damage resulting
from negligence or from the violation of the terms of this permit or
of any law or regulation applicable to the public lands by the
permittee, or any agent or employee of the permittee acting with in
the scope of the permittee's agency or employment.
6. This permit is subject to all valid claims.
7. Refuse disposal: The permittee shall pack out and dispose of
refuse resulting from personal use, including waste materials,
garbage and rubbish of all kinds.
8. Risks and Hazards: Avalanches, weakened structures, mine shafts,
pits and diggings are all additional risks the permittee assumes.
High winds, falling limbs or trees and other hazards in the Garnet
Mountains present risks which the permittee assumes. Please report
hazards to the Park Ranger or note them on the Cabin Condition Report.
9. Maintenance of Government Improvements: The permittee shall
maintain the present improvements, as well as any future improvements
, appurtenances and furnishings constructed or installed by the Bureau
of Land Management (BLM) or GPA, in as good condition as received for
use, ordinary wear and tear excepted, and shall supply and replace any
articles that may be destroyed, broken or lost with articles of a like
kind and of equal value according to a list of property supplied by
the GPA. Such improvements, appurtenances and furnishings shall at all
times be maintained and operated by the permittee in a safe condition
and manner; and upon termination of this permit, the permittee shall
deliver to GPA and the BLM the premises, improvements and furnishings.
10. Safety, Health Liability and Nondiscrimination: If the Permittee
or a member of the permittee's party require emergency or other
assistance (medical, wrecker, search and rescue, etc.) the party being
assisted will be responsible for all associated costs.
11. Permittee's and Users Conduct: Disorderly or otherwise objectional
conduct by the permittee or those occupying the premises with permittee's
permission shall, upon proof thereof, be cause for termination of this
permit.
