About Us

Our Mission

The mission of the Garnet Preservation Association is to promote public awareness and appreciation of Montana history through the interpretation, preservation, and stabilization of the Garnet Historic District.

Who We Are

The Garnet Preservation Association is a non-profit organization of concerned Montana citizens dedicated to protect and preserve Garnet Ghost Town for all with the partnership of the Bureau of Land Management. The Garnet Preservation Association is supported mostly by contributions from concerned people like you! You can read more details about our organization the latest IRS 990 form at www.guidestar.com or www.justgive.org. We obtain 100% of our operating funds each year from grants, memberships, donations, and the revenue from our visitor’s center store, entrance fees, and cabin rentals. All of this income goes directly back into the preservation, interpretation, and stabilization of Garnet, but we need your help to keep it going!
